Noora Wellbeing

Noora Wellbeing is about sharing knowledge across borders specifically regarding women's health and wellbeing. It is about learning from each other, and collaboratively inspiring each other.

Noora means 'light' in Arabic. We want to bring into the light and address issues that lay hidden, issues that are neglected. We want to support women, and each other, and together make our efforts lighter. We want to throw light on the amazing work that is already being done, by individuals and groups around the world. We have so much we can learn from each other, from different ways of doing things in different parts of the world.

Noora Wellbeing is a platform and network for sharing ideas, being inspired by each other, and encouraging each other to engage in supporting women’s wellbeing in whichever way we can, where we are.

Behind the scenes

Noora Wellbeing has been an idea in the making for some time, based on dissatisfaction with the situation for women in many places around the world.  Noora was started by Jenny Wickford, Fatumo Osman, Delena Caagbay and Charissa Deen, a group of women who all share the same basic passion for doing something to improve the situation of women in the world. Coming from different backgrounds, countries and professions, our mutual focus is women's wellbeing, where we see health and education as essential cornerstones.
